Such Good Friends 1975 (lyrics) - This was perhaps the most popular of all my early songs. Versions 1 and 2 were recorded at Saga Records Studio (my Dad's company) in Hampstead London, where I lived.
version 1 : 1976 with Katrin Cartlidge backing vocals.
version 2 1978 - solo version
version 3 1992 - arranged by Martin Ley, Decca records. (Recorded at Martin's studio in Essex - we thought this might make us some dosh, but it never got further than the studio in the end)
version 4 2003 - arranged by Jenni Roditi, Adrian Lee and Nathan Thompson. (Live performance - see below)
Songs I Wrote Long Ago - in a flurry of nostalgia, suddenly in 2003 I dug up my old cassettes and, with the help of guitarist Adrian Lee, we transcribed the songs and arranged them for a little concert at the Loft.

I "bunged" these songs down one day, in one sitting. Thanks God, otherwise - with all the composing I was doing at the Guildhall I would have forgotten them. But my friend Becky said - "please tape them"... so I did. The guitar tuning is not great at some points ... sorry about that! I was rushing to get back to the piano, no doubt.
